The lathe is now set up on a bench, and I have had a chance to practice using my new tools. These were sanded using a fine grit and natural oils used to finish. A few days later I made and acorn in softwood, sanded on the lathe, polished with wax and buffed with soft safety cloth. Monday, 26 October 2015.

Tuesday, 23 June 2009. When we first had the allotment we gave away loads, usually because we had got our planting all wrong and had got far too much beetroot, or courgette, or whatever.
